While Casey James was home in Ft. Worth, I had the opportunity to talk with him.  Having already interviewed his mother, brother, ex-wife, and hairdresser/friend, and even written a preliminary biography, there wasn’t much I didn’t know factually.  This conversation was a chance, then, to just talk.  For me to engage Casey in the topic of most interest to him — music. 

What was clear after the almost hour-and-a-half chat is what we knew all along:   he is passionate and knowledgeable about music, determined to make the best music he can, and excited about the opportunity he has been given.   He has no delusions or unrealistic expectations about the future and plans to do what he’s done for the past eleven years, work hard at his music.
