At approximately 4:20 PM local time, Casey James took the stage at San Diego country radio station KSON 97.3 & 92.1‘s Countryfest, an annual event held at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds in Lakeside, California.
Casey brought his touring band (Billy Nobel on keyboards, Nolan Verner on bass, and Johnny Richardson on drums) along with him for the first time since their energetic set in Jacksonville, Florida on October 1.
They played a dynamic eleven-song set -two bluesy covers and nine originals – including two new tunes that until tonight Casey had only played solo acoustically, “Undone” and “The Good Life.”

Thanks much 4 the vids! I was there! Casey KILLED IT, he was so good! Mad skills, great mood, and comfortable stage presence! He definately made new fans! Most all were there for Montgomery Gentry. At the end, Casey asked us to remember him and come see him again! I’m a long time fan….WE WILL! San Diego loves you, Casey James!
This was the first time I’ve seen Casey James live, but it definitely won’t be the last! Thanks to Casey’s momma for encouraging him to audition for American Idol, because I may not have found his music otherwise. It’s fun to watch him play (and the boy can PLAY) because he’s smiling the whole time and obviously enjoying himself. And I especially appreciate how he comports himself like a gentleman. Makes me proud to be a fan. Looking forward to his album dropping and seeing him as the headliner!
Blue Guitar God suits him just fine! His “Done Made Up my Mind” proves it!!
Was at the show yesterday. Casey was awesome, as usual, and he got a great response. I know he had a strong male fan base before Idol and it was good to see so many guys digging him yesterday too. I think he definitely gained some new fans.
these are the best pics I have seen so far!who ever took them,I hope you make it to a lot more of his shows,maybe it’s that blue shirt and his blue eyes and that blond hair.also finally we got to see the crowd no one ever takes pics of the crowd.

Casey was great yesterday, they really loved him! We had a great time, and our seats were great. It was worth it getting a party box, lol I have some vids, will try to get them uploaded tonight. I know Marie has more too.
