Casey James taped a performance for CMT’s Listen Up today, April 3rd, at 5:00 PM at 12th and Porter in Nashville, TN. The audience was filled with enthusiastic fans who were treated to six songs off of Casey’s new self-titled CD.
Casey sang The Good Life, Let’s Don’t Call it a Night, Drive, She’s Money, Love the Way You Miss Me and Crying on a Suitcase.
CMT videotaped the performance and will be airing it as a special and also sharing the videos on their website. According to Kathy Rainwater, a fan who was at the taping,
CMT was filming Casey James for a show to be aired May 1. We who attended were told we would be on TV. Casey approached it a bit differently due to being taped. He started by telling us “I’m nervous” Casey played 6 songs, then started over and played the 6 songs again. We were asked not to post videos until the show airs. He played great and the crowd was enthusiastic. It was a small place. I was glad to experience the full band but especially Casey. He played & sang real good.

So excited for Casey and the CMT special he is the best both on stage and off he’s such a sweeetheart
Casey was in a great mood last night! He seemed very happy and healthy! We got to hear all the songs TWICE because they were taping them for the show! (How lucky are we???) This was my first time seeing the band and they were fantastic! They compliment Casey very well. They are as sweet to Caseys fans as Casey is! We asked Casey to come out to eat with us but he had CMT business to take care of, but promised us “next time”-we are going to hold him to it!! (yeah-right!!)
He recommended a place across the street called Roosters, so that’s where we headed-hey-if it’s good enough for Casey-it’s good enough for us! Come to find out they have lots of very hot Texas style food-no wonder he recommended it!! A GREAT TIME WITH GREAT FRIENDS!! God bless you Casey for the great music, the friends you have brought together and for just being YOU!! Love you to pieces!!
w o w !!!!!!! No matter Where he is, he iluminates the stage. So proud of him. He has it all, looks, talent and personality. His interviews are always genuine, what a sweetheart. Thank you for bring all of us fans together.

Unfortunately I don’t honk Casey has any free Thursdays between now and when the show is over. But it is odd that he wasn’t invited to perform since he had a new album out!

He told the hair spray gal “I love you, Heather” after she fluffed and sprayed his hair about 25 times. He said they did it to make him look natural. Then she gave him a tube and he said that it was “lip stuff” He pursed his lips out and stroked it over them closing his eyes. I think he said “That was for me” He had on his leather jacket and it was hot. He opened up one side and looked at his ribs and said the sweat was already coming through. I think he said he’d had a 5 hour energy drink and so if he smelled like lemon lime it was the drink not cologne. He had to keep the jacket on to have a consistent look. He said the guitar was out of tune because it was hot. When the show was over, he came out in the blue shirt, no jacket, and his hair in a bun. I’m from mississippi and drove to nashville for the taping. It was all and more than I had hoped it would be. I plan on going to a show in texarkana in may. I believe it to be about a seven hour drive, I really hope that it works out. LOVE Casey!!
I love the album. Great job! I knew you would make a wonderful artist when I watched you on AI.
