Studies have shown that people train more time and with more effort when they have company. The University of Oxford found that the release of endorphins from people who exercised with their partner was greater than the people who trained individually.
So who better to achieve your goals than with someone special?
“When couples exercise, they can focus on their goals together, ” says fitness consultant Ashley Borden.
Although you can both be at different levels of fitness and have different goals, that does not mean you cannot exercise together. What’s more, you can support each other and enjoy the path to reach the goals.
Spend more time together
The family spends most of their time separated due to work and other responsibilities. Instead of going to the gym alone, plan a training time that fits your partner’s schedule as well. You can get to achieve your goals, without sacrificing the time you have to be with your partner.
With someone watching your training and be there for what you need, exercise safely if you were alone. Also, who cares more about your safety than your soul mate?
Share a common interest
Adding exercises to the list of shared interests and hobbies is very healthy for the relationship. The possibility of carrying out new and exclusive activities is endless and keeps the emotion of the relationship.
Getting the encouragement and support of your partner is one of the best motivations. This will help both of them to remain consistent and take care of each other.

Exercise produces chemicals (endorphins) in the brain that evoke feelings of happiness, reduce stress, and also increase excitement and libido. Several studies show that men and women who exercise regularly have better (and more frequent) sex.
Performing physical exercise on a regular basis helps to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, the reason for many couple discussions. It also helps to develop self-esteem and confidence and promotes psychological well-being.
Respect and Pride
Caring for your body and your health shows that the person cares about being the best for their partner, and wants to be close in the coming years.
In many couples, one tends to favor cardio training (usually women) while the other tends to favor strength training (usually men). By working together you can balance your exercise program that includes more of both.
Ideas to start exercising together
Sign up for a class together
While a salsa dance class is ideal for couples, other kinds of activities will work just as well. Consider trying something new that interests you so much: martial arts, climbing, yoga, swimming lessons, spinning or other sports.
Do cardio that allows you to work each one at your intensity level
Group classes, such as spinning (indoor cycling) allow each participant to attend the training session at their fitness level, which means that both get the training they want, easy, difficult, or in between.

Do cardio side by side
In the gym, just choose two cardio machines next to each other and work towards your individual goals. You are going to be together, but everyone can work at their own pace, intensity, inclination, and level of resistance.
Walk or run together
If you are a slow runner and your partner runs faster, the intervals will be perfect for both of you. You can work at a fast pace for a few minutes and then recover at a slower pace adjusted to the other person. Intervals are also a great way to improve your fitness level and speed over time. Before you know it, you will be able to work at the same pace together.
Strength training in the gym
Anaerobic training is also an option for the couple. Whether you do the training individually or do it with the partner, about 90 seconds of rest between sets is beneficial anyway. So while you rest, your partner can complete a series of the exercise. Changing weights at your own level can be done quickly and easily on most machines. Another time-saving option is the use of weights, so you do not have to constantly add and remove the weight plates when switching between sets.
Performing stretching exercises has important benefits for your flexibility. Giving your partner a gentle pull or a gentle push to stretch the muscles to the maximum can be useful, always without overdoing it.
Creating a more active lifestyle together in a natural environment includes many health benefits, you can also disconnect from the stressful daily life as it works as a relaxation therapy. There are an infinity of sports to practice outdoors such as hiking, canoeing, recreational cycling, rafting and simply enjoy a pleasant walk, without haste, at the end of the day.
