Castle Rock

This first one is a little bit of a cheat because it isn’t strictly a TV show. Castle Rock itself is a place that is famous within the universe of Stephen King. Many of his stories, including Dead Zone, are based around this fictional Maine area. The list of things that can go wrong here is huge, as evidenced by the amount of King stories that revolve around it. In steps Hulu, with an original movie that attempts to weave all of these narratives into one cohesive plot. Not much else is known about it, but it’s based on things by Stephen King, and it’s hard to go wrong there. It starts airing on July 25.

The Innocents

This spooky supernatural teen drama is landing on Netflix towards the end of August, on the 24th. But it could just be worth the wait. Guy Pearce https://deadline.com/2018/02/guy-pearce-netflix-british-teen-supernatural-series-the-innocents-cast-1202289964/ is starring alongside Sorcha Groundsell and Percelle Ascott in this drama that sees two repressed teenagers run away to be together. Their epic journey away from home doesn’t go to plan, of course, and this is a tale of self-discovery that kills the innocence they left home with. Viewers have high standards for Netflix dramas, so we’re hoping this one doesn’t disappoint.
